Regarding the operation (resumption) of the column

This column stopped being updated around September 2024.
It just so happened that I discovered that one of the column writers had copied text from a book, and I no longer knew what the direction of the column was going to be. The marketing staff member in charge of the column was also leaving, so rather than continuing, I decided to stop it for the time being.
After that, I decided to renew the column that had been left hanging in the air with new content.
That is, My BestIt was a product comparison site called "Sugar Daddy" board.
It was a project that seemed like something a YouTuber would do, with a sugar daddy expert comparing various apps and dating clubs and conducting numerical verification.
I invited a flag maker to join the project and we had a meeting, but partway through I started to wonder, "Hmm? Is this really the essence?" and the project fell apart. Time passed, and in September of this year,
I returned to Hiroshima for the third anniversary of my mother's death.
So, on a whim, I contacted Joe Rubicon.
"I've been a fan of your articles for a while now, Rubicon. If possible, could I say hello to you?"
He kindly agreed and we were able to talk in the lounge of the Hiroshima Station building.
Rubicon is a more handsome man than I imagined, young, stylish, and humble.
It was a fun conversation, but at the end
"Kida-san, are you not going to start writing the column again?"
This was the impetus for restarting the column.
This introduction has been long, but now I'll get to the main topic.
I think I started the column site around 2016.
This was a time when everyone was starting to write columns, with the idea that if you wrote something that sounded like an expert, Google would recognize it and it would be advantageous for SEO.
The significance of starting a column, I was posting something like
However, this was not in line with the purpose of running a column for SEO purposes.
I thought that by paying writers and widely recruiting writers, we would be able to gather a wider range of knowledge.
But when you look into it, it's full of seemingly fake articles written for the sake of getting paid.
I was extremely rude to the other writers who had taken the time to write about their own experiences.
Therefore, we decided to first hold an online meeting with our main column writers to hear their opinions and determine our future steps.
The kind of articles I like to read are hot articles, articles that are so real that if you cut them with a knife, they'll bleed.
I had a vague, naive idea that if I continued to collect such articles honestly, it would eventually become a viable business.
That belief hasn't changed to this day.
What has changed is the monetization aspect.
Even though it costs as much to run a column, it doesn't seem like it will go under anytime soon, so I hope it will be filled with fun articles to enjoy for the rest of my life.
I will gradually resume posting column articles only if I am willing to do so without compensation.
At some point, I plan to move the anonymous question box and column together from the Universe Club domain to a separate domain.
